Pose Analysis

So i created this image to get a better understanding on how different characters stand in their images and how their stance relates to their character. I wanted to keep it simple to see the basic core stance of the characters. Its really interesting looking at all the character art then its pose next to it and comparing it to others. So one of the poses is of a female archer and her stance is more elegant opposed to a more aggressive and built stance like the other men. Also some characters hips are higher up than others to indicate that the character is either unfit and overweight or to show the character is in shape and normal height. Its interesting as well to see some poses are slouched over to indicate either the character being lazy or they are hauling something heavy on their back compared to a traditional hero pose with the posture straight and the chest out. This definitely has helped me to think about the basic posture more because it can say a lot about the characters personality and its purpose.
