Bow Design Sheet

bow-design-sheet

So i started this design sheet by sourcing some reference images and some photos ive taken from the McManus Center aswell. Like my silhouettes i wanted to make as many different types of bows as possible. The bows i like i have highlighted. The first bow i like simply because every angle and side is different. Its not symmetrical and the bottom has the end of an axe for close range defense. The very right top image is another favorite of mine because similar to the last bow you can use it close range but basically its 3 bows combined. A traditional bow with the long handle, a modern bow because of the re curve ends and it has weights like the oylmpic bows. The bottom left bow i like because its clean and simple compared to the rest. It has various pulleys for improved strength and stabilizers for improved accuracy. This is a bow more focused for function over form. The bow to the right is more about the design. Although it is very powerful with the 6 pulleys but this means it is heavy and hard to handle. Yet i like the little daggers in the middle of the bow. I will most likely use design number 3 because the bow is about function over form, its light and powerful. For the final piece i will add little reminders to the viewer of where this character is from but for the core design it is my favorite.
