Style Guide

Although i created a test asset earlier in the semester i realized PBR wouldn’t work well with my new brief. This is because i’m creating small environments and due to the scale change having lots of PBR assets would make the enviroment run slow on sketchfab. From all my sketchfab research I’ve realized people really enjoy making low poly environments. Although the style is cool and some of the work is stunning its not the style i want to go for. I feel like its a style that’s been heavily explored already and i wouldn’t have much creative output. So i need the assets to be low to medium ply to make the enviroment load fast and no deter people away plus have a unique style. So i did a deep dive into Pinterest and found some stunning examples. They are mostly sketches but its a great place to base some test assets of. I’ve picked images that look realistic but have something a little strange with them. In this case some are simplified and created with block colours yet others combine techniques like after colouring to add depth.
